Am I eligible for the cover?
Yes, provided you are a U.A.E national or holding a valid current full resident visa in U.A.E and your age is between 15 days and 59 years old.

Will I need to have a medical examination to join the plan?
You need to complete an individual application form and declaration and our medical underwriter will decide whether to undergo medical examination or not.

Will I be covered for any illness or injuries I have had before joining the plan?
Cover for all pre-existing conditions are excluded.

Which hospitals / clinics can I visit?
You may opt to receive your medical treatment at any hospital/ clinic within the geographical area of your policy. However we recommend that you should visit one of the medical providers mentioned in the HealthNet Network booklet to benefit from the direct billing facility.

Am I covered if I travel away from my area of residence?
Yes, you are covered for any accidents or illnesses after leaving U.A.E that require immediate medical treatment within the geographical area of your policy.

Can I seek treatment outside U.A.E?
Yes, only within the geographical area, provided that your medical plan is either Emirates Plus, International or Global Plan. Treatment will be on reimbursement basis and subject to equivalent cost of U.A.E; reasonable and customary charges will prevail.

How quickly can I be covered?
As soon as we receive your complete individual application form and upon the approval of our medical underwriter, the cover will start immediately.

Am I covered for death due to accident?
Yes, accidental death benefit is included in your cover with a sum assured of Dhs. 50,000/-. If your plan is International or Global.

How is the policy deductible applied?
The deductible amount will be charged at the point of the medical services and it ranges between Dhs.40 to Dhs. 75

Can I change the level of cover?
Yes, but only at the time of renewal
