HealthNet offers the simplest administration process compared to many other healthcare insurance plans in the U.A.E.
Treatment in HealthNet Network NGI has established basic procedures, shown below, to ensure that necessary formalities are followed. The HealthNet Health Card has to be carried with you for visits to any doctor, healthcare facility or pharmacy in our network.
Doctors Visits: Consultations provided by HealthNet Healthcare Network

Inform the doctor that you are insured by HealthNet under your individual or group Healthcare Insurance scheme.

Produce your HealthNet Card as evidence of being a HealthNet customer.

Sign the claim form that the doctor will ask you to sign.
Note: This is the only form that you have to fill. A deductible will be charged as stated in your policy conditions. This amount will be paid at the point of service.
Hospital admissions and specialists consultations

You have direct access to any specialist on our HealthNet Healthcare Network

The doctor will call HealthNet for an authorization code to confirm that the treatment proposed is covered by your HealthNet Healthcare Insurance

HealthNet will pay the specialist/hospital directly. You do not have to pay the specialist/hospital, or fill out any claim form.
Prescriptions

HealthNet doctors have special HealthNet prescription forms for prescribing medicines. If the doctor does not use one of these forms, please remind him/her to do so.

Prescriptions can be obtained from any HealthNet pharmacy without paying in advance.
Note: The pharmacy will send the bill directly to us and the amount due will be paid directly to the pharmacy.
Treatment outside HealthNet Network *Important: treatment outside the HealthNet Healthcare Network is only allowed for certain policies.
HealthNet has direct payment agreements with doctors, specialists, hospitals, laboratories and pharmacies that are members of the HealthNet Healthcare Network, but if:

If you receive medical treatment or medical services outside the HealthNet Healthcare Network, you will have to pay for the service directly and then submit a claim to us for reimbursement within a maximum of 90 days of occurrence of the claim.

You will be reimbursed 60% of the total cost of any treatment or services received outside the HealthNet Healthcare Network after paying the deductible, even if an authorization has been given by NGI. (For Individual policy)

Deductible Payment All medical insurance schemes have a deductible. Some schemes charge a fixed percentage of the total medical bills which could become very costly if specialist or hospital treatment is involved, which can add up to thousands of Dirhams.
The HealthNet deductible is per illness or visit to the doctor This ensures that the maximum coverage is available without any further deduction where it is needed, i.e. specialist or hospital treatment.
